The colossal spending frenzy where big-name retailers slash their prices is almost here, and while it’s a given that most of your favourite stores will join in, if you’re going to make the most of it you need to do your homework.
Black Friday is perfect time to indulge in some retail therapy and nab that coat or pair of boots you’ve been eyeing up for a while, so we’ve saved you the time and put together a list of the crème de le crème of fashion and beauty bargains you’re not going to want to miss.
Here, we will be constantly updating the best fashion and beauty deals in the lead up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday on 2 December, so make sure you keep checking back.
For now, here are our predictions on this year’s discounts, with advice on how to sign up for exclusive offers from your favourite brands.
You can trust our independent reviews. We may earn commission from some of the retailers, but we never allow this to influence selections, which are formed from real-world testing and expert advice. This revenue helps to fund journalism across The Independent.
When is Black Friday?
This year, the event falls on November 29, so there’s less than a month for shoppers to find deals before Christmas.
The main event will last the entire weekend, culminating with Cyber Monday.
But the deals – on the high street and online – begin long before the actual day, from anywhere between the week before to as early as mid October. Last year, Amazon’s Black Friday deals ran for 10 days.
How to get the best fashion and beauty deals
We think the best way to make the most of the Black Friday sale is to be prepared beforehand. Instead of getting over excited by offers that seem too good to be true, come up with a list of products you’re actually interested in before the big day.
That way, you won’t buy things you don’t actually want, but look a good deal.
Most fashion and beauty retailers have Black Friday mailing lists you can subscribe to for exclusive deals and updates on sale launches and offers. We recommend signing up to stay ahead of the game when it comes to Black Friday deals.
